Disciples University offers a “W.A.G.” strategy to equip each other to think biblically.

  • Worldview Roadmap – a framework for a biblical worldview that explains the secular worldview.
  • Apologetics Cube – an Outline of the things disciples know and do …. 6 sides: 3 decisions, 3 distractions – plus the inside of the cube – seven things that are like sharp blades that Jesus said about himself.
  • Genesis Manifesto – Information that updates our return to a literal creation narrative taught in scriptures and a rejection of the deep time evolution narrative of secular thought that is like a tail wagging the culture.

Why a Cube?

The temple’s “Holy of Holies” where God dwelt was cube shaped.

The New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven is cube shaped.

The inner core of the cube we use symbolizes the seven claims Jesus made.

The six sides of the cube is wrapped with the three decisions Jesus asks us to make and the 3 distractions

Note:

Nikola Tesla was fascinated by patterns in nature, math, and energy. He is associated with the numbers 3, 6, and 9. Ernő Rubik also used these numbers when he created a teaching tool (Rubik’s cube) to help students understand 3D spatial relationships.

Only 1% of people can solve a Rubik’s cube without a coach. And only 1% of Christians have a specific plan to make disciples… we need a coach.  The Cube is a visual to place on a desk or book shelf to remind us of the:

3 Sides – 3 Decisions that Jesus wants us to make

Side 1:  Willing to Follow – “Come, follow Me”
Side 2:  Willing to Learn – “And I will teach you”
Side 3:  Willing to Fish – “To make you fishers of men”

3 Sides – 3 Distractions we face in making disciples.

Side 4: The World: The City of Athens
Side 5: The Flesh:  The City of Alexandria
Side 6: The Devil:   The City of Babylon

Each side presents nine questions and answers that assist us in the work of

Apologetics… which means the work of defending a Biblical Worldview

Apologetics Cube (the word apologetics means “R.E.A.D.”

Reasons, Evidences, Answers that Defend the Faith

Side 1Jesus asks us to come to Him, so we decide to follow Him.

1. WHO do you Follow?

We Repent of our sins and ask Jesus to redeem us. “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

Confess with your mouth – Openly repent & acknowledge Jesus as Lord

Believe in your heart – Trust in the resurrection of Jesus.

You will be saved – God promises salvation and gives us The Holy Spirit to guide us, to teach us, to comfort us and to guide us to abide in Christ.

Paul gave Timothy the process of finding and training people to follow Jesus.

He said, “Find faithful men … who can teach Faithful men… who teach Faithful men to do the same.

He gave Timothy examples of the kind of leaders to select.

  • A  Soldier who has Courage to stand firm and engage culture with boldness.
  • An Athlete who has Conviction to train, and then run well toward a goal.
  • A  Farmer who has Competence to be fruitful
  • A follower of Christ develops Character in the process.

2. WHAT actions did God take?

to Redeem Us …

  • God Loves us. We do not initiate our salvation, God does.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…”  John 3:16

  • God Sends Jesus to Die for Our sin, paying the ransom to redeem us and make a way back to God.

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us…” –  2 Corinthians 5:21

  • God Raised Jesus from the Dead – The resurrection proves His victory over sin and death.

“He was raised to life for our justification.” – Romans 4:25

  • He Sends the Holy Spirit – The Spirit awakens our hearts, convicts us, and gives us new life.

“He saved us.. by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.” – Titus 3:5

  • He Justifies Us (Declares us Righteous) – Through faith, we are fully forgiven and made right with God.

“By grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8

  • He Adopts Us into His Family – We’re no longer strangers—we’re sons and daughters.

“To all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12

  • He Transforms Us (Sanctification) – God grows us daily to be more like Jesus.

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” – Philippians 1:6

  • He Glorifies Us (Final Salvation) – One day, we’ll be fully restored and live forever with Him.

“Those He justified, He also glorified.” – Romans 8:30

  • He Keeps us

“I write these things to you who believe… that you may know that you have eternal life.” – 1 John 5:13

  • God’s Promise Is Sure – God doesn’t change His mind. What He starts, He finishes.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” – Philippians 1:6

  • The Holy Spirit Confirms It – Assurance often comes internally, through the Spirit’s witness.

“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.” – Romans 8:16

“Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal…” – Ephesians 1:13

  • Changed Life Bears Fruit – Obedience and love are evidence—not the cause—of salvation.

“We know that we have come to know Him if we keep His commands.” – 1 John 2:3

“By this all people will know… if you love one another.” – John 13:35

  • Ongoing Faith Holds Fast – Perseverance and self-examination are part of walking in assurance.

“If you hold firmly to the word… you are really His disciples.” – John 8:31

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith.” – 2 Corinthians 13:5

In history and in real time experiences…

  • Jesus Meets our Deepest Need
We long for meaning, love, forgiveness, and hope.
We gain a relationship with the Living God, not just a distant deity.
We find grace instead of earning, love instead of fear, life instead of despair.
  • His story is found in real history—not myth or speculation. Overwhelming scholarly consensus on His existence.
  • His resurrection is backed by eyewitness testimony, martyrdom, and the explosive growth of the early church.
  • No other figure has had such a profound, global, and enduring impact across centuries.
  • He fulfills hundreds of Old Testament prophecies.
  • He is not merely a teacher—He is the Savior, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
  • He is God in the flesh (John 8:58, John 14:6)
  • He reconciles humanity to God through the cross, offering forgiveness and eternal life (Romans 5:8, John 3:16).
  • He Offers the Highest Vision of Goodness
  • Christ’s teachings (love enemies, serve the least, forgive freely) present the most radical and beautiful moral vision in history.
  • His life models perfect humility, courage, compassion, and justice.
  • Following Christ transforms us into someone truly good and loving.
  • He Changes Lives. Billions of people, across centuries and cultures, testify that Christ has healed, freed, and renewed them.
  • Christian communities have built hospitals, schools, and justice movements in His name.
  • The power of Christ changes individuals and societies—from the inside out.

If true… then everything matters: our life, our choices, our eternity.

C.S. Lewis’ famous quote about the decision we have to follow Jesus.

He is either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord

The stakes are too high to ignore. A decision must be made.

A Logical Response …

Luke 9:23 Jesus said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

3. WHEN did God Choose Us?   (insert graphic of a chain)

Before the foundation of the world

Ephesians 1:4–5 – “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world… He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ.”

2 Timothy 1:9 – “…who saved us and called us to a holy calling… because of His own purpose and grace, which He gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.”

Romans 8:29–30 – “For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…”

God applies His redemptive plan

Election – God’s sovereign choice before creation – Ephesians 1:4

Calls – We hear the Gospel – Romans 10:17

Regeneration – New birth by the Holy Spirit – John 3:3–8

Conversion – Our response: repentance and faith – Acts 2:38, Eph. 2:8

Justification – Legal declaration: righteous in Christ – Romans 5:1

Adoption – Brings us into God’s family – Romans 8:15

Sanctification – Growth in holiness – 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Perseverance – Continuing in faith – Philippians 1:6

Glorification – “And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.” –  Romans 8:30

Summary

  • When: God chose His people before time began.
  • Why: For His glory, according to His purpose and grace.
  • How: Through a process beginning with His call and ending with our glorification in eternity

4. WHERE Am I Going?

We are on a journey moving toward God in Heaven

Matthew 7:13–14 – “Enter by the narrow gate…”
Philippians 3:20 – “Our citizenship is in heaven..

Direction determines destination — following Christ leads to life.

The Pilgrim’s Progress written by John Bunyan is a vivid allegory, simple style, and biblical themes of a Christian’s journey from the City of Destruction (the fallen world) to the Celestial City. He was in jail for twelve years for preaching without a license from the church of England. During that imprisonment he wrote this book, which since the year 1660 has been popular with both the educated and common people.

What will heaven be like? What about purgatory? Is hell real? In this updated edition of his classic bestseller, Lutzer urges us to study—and heed—what the Bible says about life beyond the grave. His answers to crucial questions will provide encouragement to believers and a word of caution for the undecided. 144 pages, softcover from Moody.

This journey is first “Our Story” and then it becomes “Our Lifestyle”   Every Christian struggles with the gap between our story and our lifestyle. Why? Because it requires effort and commitment.

5. WHY follow Jesus?

Answer: He is Lord. He is Savior. He is worthy.  Following is worth the struggle.

“We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God…”
  • 2 Timothy 3:12
“Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

  • Matthew 7:13–14
“The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”
  • Luke 9:23
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
  • Hebrews 12:1–2

  • 1 Peter 1:6–7
“You have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith… may result in praise…”

  • Eph. 2:8–9, Rom. 8:14, 2 Cor. 6:2, Heb. 3:15 — By grace, through faith, empowered by the Spirit. —

We Walking towards God with daily prayer and study of God’s Word becomes our lifestyle.

The Holy Spirit guides us and teaches us.
The Daily study of God’s Word changes us.
The Acrostic A.C.T.S. helps us focus in prayer

Adoration – expressing love for God
Confession – expressing sorrow over sin.
Thanksgiving – expressing joy over things in life
Supplication – expressing concern for family, friends, leaders in education,  leaders who govern, and leaders who minister.

Prayer provides seven benefits as we follow Christ.
– Strong Relationship –  with God and others
– Guidance and Wisdom –  in decision-making
– Inner spiritual strength – developing character and moral strength.
– Peace and Contentment –  instead of anxiety and restlessness.
– Forgiveness and extending grace to others.
– Improved Focus and Clarity

7. Example# 1 Answers in Genesis

Why is God blessing A.I.G.

They follow Christ by proclaiming God as Creator and His Word as truth from the beginning.

  • They boldly defend the truth of Scripture from the very first verse—declaring God as Creator and challenging the secular worldview of deep time and evolution.
  • They equip churches and families with apologetics tools.
  • They glorify God by making His Word the authority, not man’s.

Biblical principle:

“Those who honor Me I will honor.” – 1 Samuel 2:30

– It applies Deuteronomy 6 discipleship to the full formation of a child’s worldview.
– It is cultivating multi-generational faithfulness.

Biblical principle:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…” – Proverbs 9:10

  • Stands boldly against cultural compromise.
  • Equips others for discipleship, not just personal belief.

We pray for the Kirk Family. Charlie is enjoying Heaven and people are helping his wife and children. We still mourn the lost of this Godly Man.
