1. Who?

Babylon is both a historical empire (founded by Nimrod, Gen. 10:10) and a spiritual symbol of opposition to God. It represents rebellious humanity under satanic influence (Rev. 17:5). 

The city of Babylon in Scripture is more than just a geographic location—it becomes a powerful symbol of rebellion, idolatry, worldliness, and satanic opposition to God.

4. Where was Babylon? 

Ancient Babylon was located in modern-day Iraq. Prophetically, it represents any center of power and culture that exalts itself against God (Isa. 13:19; Rev. 17:18). 

But the “Spirit of Babylon” is in all cities of the world. Babylon operates through idolatry, seduction, wealth, and persecution of the saints. It seeks to unify humanity without God (Gen. 11:4; Rev. 17:2,6).

6. How did the lie of evolution evolve? 

Dr. Ken Ham’s book … Evolution “The Lie”  answers this question.

Revelation’s Warning Revelation calls believers to “Come out of her, My people” (Rev. 18:4), meaning we must reject the spiritual Babylon—resist compromise, and live in holiness amid corrupt systems.

Summary:

In the Bible, Babylon is the ultimate symbol of opposition to God, representing both worldly corruption and spiritual rebellion.

The Book of Revelation (Rev. 17-18) refers to “Babylon the Great” as a harlot, deceiving nations and leading them into wickedness.

Babylon embodies the influence of “the devil”—a force that seeks to control, deceive, and oppose God’s kingdom.

Like Daniel in Babylon, Christians must remain faithful in a corrupt world without being consumed by it.
